Address message of His Eminence Metropolitan of Lagada, Liti and Redina Ioannis.
I greet the youngster of our church and I wish that the grace of God supports and sustains them in the fight and the course of their life. Our communication with young people is always a fact that connect us with the incidents of life that when they come up then one can realize the importance of adolescence. Every young, every adolescent is in front of a new beginning, in a starting point of life course and choices. For that reason ‘’Mother Church’’ presents particular sensitivity and care not only by prayer through the Holy Services in every Divine Liturgy but also through its pastoral care with the creation of chances which, when they are developed they give to younger the possibility to develop initiatives through the data of self-action, through the voluntarism and through the activities which have as main point the love of God towards people.
With these thoughts we created in Metropolis of Lagada, Liti and Redina a youth center devoted to Saint Kyranna, who was young here from the Ossa of our Metropolis who with her brilliant example shows us the way to the virtue and the way to the confession of faith which much be stable as long as herself proved that the confession of our faith must be unshakable until the martyrdom of the sang.
The religious center of Metropolis is a powerful center which is related to many activities referring to visions, demands and the needs that an adolescent can have while he is thinking hard and confronting difficulties regarding learning for whom function the tutorial centers based on the tutoring teaching that they are provided with. Moreover, a School of Byzantine music, a School of hagiography and other occasional meetings are in operation which have as a target and concern youngster’s formation regarding issues of faith, orthodox life and cultural issues. Very soon there will be a special department which will deal with the tradition, the cultural report and record of all elements which are related to the local history and the local moral and customs of our region. There will be a sport department, the creation of sport teams based on parish organization, it will operate teams from different sports and in this way our youth will be provided with the possibility to participate in scheduled events which concern the spiritual progress and success of the youngsters.
I am addressing the beloved young of our Metropolis and I express to them my paternal love, my solidarity and I am always at their disposal in order to support them in whatever they think my personal intervention is necessary. The doors of Metropolis are open for everyone but with a particular sensibility towards our youth who constitute the hope of tomorrow.
